If you thought the Leafs would stay smart all day, think again.
The club just signed Mark Arcobello to a one year deal at $1.1 million. He’ll stay till January. This is Arco’s fifth team since 2013-14.
What does Arcobello bring to Toronto? Good question. No, really; that’s a REALLY good question. Let’s look at his stats.
For starters, his +/- for last season was a -10. But I’m sure we can find something positive to say about him. Like the fact that he had 17 goals and 14 assists in 77 games. Pitiful stat, but at least he can do something.
This isn’t good for Toronto, though. They’ve been making solid trades all day, and this is who they’re going to pick as their new center? Not a good idea.
