Anisimov Finally Where He Belongs

Stan Bowman is a genius, as usual.

Today, he signed center Artem Anisimov to a five year contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks.  Anisimov is finally where he belongs.

Chicago’s  centermen are fast and talented.  Anisimov will have a chance to show what he can really do, in contrast to Columbus’ slow forward lines.  The Hawks play tough, fast hockey.  Anisimov never really got to showcase that with the Jackets, or even with New York.  This trade is one of the better ones today.

Along with Anisimov comes winger Marko Dano in exchange for Brandon Saad.  Dano, we’ll have to see if he fits in Chicago, but Anisimov definitely does.  Good trade, and Anisimov is going to love playing on a Cup-winning team.
